Fishes..fishes..fishes.
Niff..niff..niff.

Only two tips I can give you.
First: If you come here, use boot.
Second: After you come here, wash every single clothes you wear!

{Little Notes}
The fresh fishes are always brought from various seashores in East Java and Central Java. The coming schedule is mid-day around 1 p.m until midnight everyday.

Iwak..iwak..iwak.
Mambu..mambu..mambu.

Mek 2 (loro) thok saranku rek, nek arep mrene.
Siji: Nek mrene, nggaweo sepatu...ojok sandal.
Loro: Nek wes mulih teko kene, ndang umbahen kabuehh klambi-klambimu!

Iwak-iwake iku biasane kiriman teko daerah pesisir sing nang Jawa Timur karo Jawa Tengah . Kiro-kiro tekone jam 1-an sampe bukak'e ngko tengah wengi.

Welcome December!
After a long hot weeks colourized our activity, this city really miss the rain and its wet season.
Uniquely, the sun never let Surabaya get wet easily. So it still accompany the clouds to warm the sky. As warm as the Surabayans.
But be careful friends. Get prepare for the flood! :)

The tlaeler should be written as 'trailer truck', but this is how Surabayans call it because it's easy to say.
This picture taken in Balongsari to Manukan road, where these roads are near industry-area of Margomulyo. The ad tells the trailer drivers not to enter these roads because there are some street foundring in Pakal, Benowo.

Tlaeler iku jane karepe 'trailer', tapi wong ancen lambene wong Suroboyo luwih gampang ngarani-e TLAELER. Larangan iki dipasang nang daerah Balongsari cedek bunderan Margomulyo mergane nang Pakal, Benowo ono pengecoran dalan.

This is it; Surabayans must be proud of the first inetrnational standard stadium ever! It will have a whole complete-pack of facilities, start from the main football stadium with athletic track for about 50.000 spectators, the indoor stadium which is enough for 10.000 spectators, jogging-track, swimming-pool area, tennis, rowing lake, etc.

It is located in Pakal-Benowo, West Region of Surabaya. You could reach this stadium through Surabaya-Gresik highway. But you could also there through Tandes to Benowo main road.

Iki lho rek..stadion kebanggaane arek Suroboyo! Ngko bakalan lengkap fasilitase. Teko stadion utama sing kapasitase sampek 50.000 wong, stadion indoor-e yho cukup gae 10.000 wong, jogging-track, nggon gae belonjo, arena renang, tenis, dayung, wes pokoke akeh lah...

Nggone iki nang kelurahan Pakal, kecamatan Benowo. Paling enak nek lewat tol Suroboyo-Gresik, tapi nek arep lewat dalan raya Tandes yho enak pisan. Soale wes didandani karo Pemkot. Wes muluss cak!

Cingur Salad . Rujak Cingur

Taking a walk for culinary in Surabaya, you must remember Rujak Cingur (Cingur Salad). This Heroic City’s original food is identically made from cingur (cow’s mouth). In a dish of Rujak Cingur, there are cingur, young bean-sprouts, vegetables, tahu, tempe (fermentes soya-beans), and it’s all poured with special recipe of black shrimp-jelly. You can order Rujak Campur (Mixed Salad) with additional fruits like pineapple, young-mango, and screw pine. One of the most popular Rujak Cingur depot in this city is Genteng Depot, which is located on 29 Genteng street Surabaya.

Mangan nang Suroboyo, mesti eling karo rujak cingur. Panganan khas Kutha Pahlawan iki terkenal karo irisan cingure. Sakpiring rujak cingur iki ana cingur, cambah, kangkung, mie, lontong, tahu, tempe, sing disiram bumbu petis khas Suroboyo. Irian Barat Fish Market . Pasar Iwak Irian Barat

Who doesn’t like fish? This little-tiny-funny animal is adored by everyone, even if you can’t swim as it does. Believed by its relaxing-magical power when you see it, fish is more than just a water-creature which can be placed in a cubical glass. It is alive, for many reasons. Connecting people, earning people, entertaining people.

In Surabaya, there’s a place named Irian Barat street which is always busy of its ‘fish-things’. It’s located near Kayoon street, which is famous as the center of flowers-shop. Although it’s not always about selling fishes here, the fish lovers will be very fond. There are kois, arowanas, even piranhas!

But the fishes are friendly to other animals. You can also find fat bunnies, handsome cats, gentle chipmunks, sturdy-cobra, or the-slowly-but-sure animals, turtle. And for no many reasons, you can’t pass by this area without buying anything. They are too beautiful, you can’t afford to ignore them.

Selling-schedule:

every Saturday-evening until Sunday-morning and Wednesday-evening until Thursday-morning

A little-trip tips:

It’s better if you keep your eyes obviously to the fish because you'd have to be worry about the fungus on their bodies. Come in the morning, so you can see where is the fungus...

Tapi iwak-iwak iki yo koncoan apik karo kewan liyane. Koen yo isok nemu kelinci sing lemu, tupai sing lulut, ulo kobra sing gagah, opo kuro sing mlakune alon tapi kelakon. Mangkane, gak ono alesan gak tuku opo-opo bar mulih teko kene. Soale kewan-kewan iku kebacut nggemesno, koen gak akan isok ngejarno.

Saben Sabtu bengi sampe Minggu isuk
Saben Rebo bengi sampek Kemis isuk

Tips tambahan sing penting:
Nek arep tuku iwak, deloken sing teliti soale koen kudu waspada karo jamur! Mending teko isuk, ben kethok jelas jamure nang sebelah endi...

Fighter fish is the most popular species among children. Those kids were really passionate in challenging their fighter fish with another fighter fishes (which are displayed in the fish market). They bring their own fighter fishes near the opponent-fishes, then one of them will try to threat each other, pushing their head on the plastic surface.

Besides fish, here you can buy chipmunks, cats, turtles, snakes, and bunnies. This old woman caressed the white-black spotted bunny...
Selain iwak, nang kene yo ono tupai, kucing, kuro, ulo, trus kelinci. Ibuk iki ngelus-ngelus kelinci sing dipajang rodo suwe, saking gemesse...
